Charlene Miller
Founder, Managing Director
As Managing Director of Global Associates, LLC, Charlene serves clients in a broad range of
high technology, financial services, and life sciences companies from start-ups to Fortune 100
companies. During her tenure in this role, Charlene has participated in placing over 100 Board of Directors
and over 60 Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers and senior executives for public, private and private-equity backed companies. Charlene is well known and respected throughout Silicon Valley, the US, Europe and Asia.
Charlene brings over 30 years of experience as a successful corporate manager and consultant to
senior executives. Her expertise is global, having built and run domestic and international businesses.
Her combination of CEO relationships and access to an international network of executives makes her a
highly strategic search partner.
Earlier in her career, Charlene was founder and managing director for the MAG Group, a firm that
identified and developed opportunities for Western businesses in Central Europe. She was also founder and
CEO of CMI International, the first private-label product development & manufacturing company
(retail business segment) in the United States. Headquartered in New York, the company also had a
significant presence in Hong Kong.
In 2003, Charlene was invited to join the
U.S. Council on Competitiveness, a forum for
elevating economic competitiveness to the forefront of our national consciousness. The
Council on Competitiveness is the only national organization whose membership is comprised
exclusively of CEOs, university presidents and labor leaders. Current Executive Committee members
include John Morgridge of Cisco, Samuel Palmisano of IBM Corporation, Ray Stata of
Analog Devices, Lawrence Summers of Harvard University, David Baltimore of CalTech,
and John Hennessy of Stanford University.
In addition, she is a long-time member of the
Committee of 200, the preeminent international
organization for female entrepreneurs and corporate executives and one of the first women in Young Presidents Organization, New York Metro Chapter: www.wpo.org.
Charlene lives and has offices in Connecticut and Atherton, California. She is a member of the Metropolitan Club in Manhattan.
Most recently Charlene successfully placed the GM for a London-based $800 million technology company. The successful candidate was the former EVP of PayPal International, who was moved from Palo Alto to London with his family.
Additionally, Charlene’s recent work is highlighted by the following accomplishments:
Charlene has spent the past two years with founders and scientists to create a search technology company using techniques discovered while searching the human genome. She placed the board management team and CEO and brought in a majority of the investors, including Greg Maffei, former CFO of Microsoft.

Cassandra Marrone is a Partner with Global Associates, LLC.
For over a decade, she has been working with boards and leadership teams that want to rapidly alter their
positioning by attracting world-class executives. Within the technology industry, her experience spans
across the software, network infrastructure, communications, semiconductor, nanotechnology, and
consumer electronics sectors. She also has deep search experience in the financial services and
life science sectors.
Over the course of her career, Cassandra has built out management teams for over 50 early stage
companies including CEO, CFO, CTO, VP Marketing, VP Sales, VP Business Development, and VP Operations,
along with product management and product marketing teams. In addition, she has placed CEO and CXO-level
executives of publicly traded companies in the Fortune 500.
Prior to joining Global Associates, she managed the Human Capital group at
Garage Technology Ventures, an investment bank providing private equity funding to technology
companies. While with Garage, Cassandra worked with the firm's portfolio companies on all
issues relating to human capital, including compensation, equity, and hiring talent. Earlier in her
career, Cassandra was with A.T. Kearney Executive Search. During her tenure there, she managed
searches for the Global 250 as well as start-up companies. After she graduated from
U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cassandra spent five years running her own
recruiting research and competitive analysis firm.
